The Arnold Palmer Cup
Evian Resort Golf Club

The opening round – where the American squad won all first five four-ball (mixed) matches – had to be interrupted for two hours because of the bad weather conditions on the heights of Lake Geneva. The first leg of the “French” Arnold Palmer Cup in its new outfit (12 men and 12 women on each side) wasn’t exactly what the International Team was looking for.
On her grounds, Swiss Albane Valenzuela (2017 US Amateur vice-champion) was not at her best with South African partner Jovan Rebula, losing the match 6&4 vs Chandler Phillips and Lilia Vu
The United States lead 8-4 before this Friday twelve mixed four-ball matches at the Evian Resort Golf Club, followed by another round of four-balls. The weather appears to be at its best summer shape and perhaps the Internationals’ too. PPH
